Berghof Stork in Detmold

We had ordered the Christmas menu "roast goose" and picked it up on Christmas Day. Seldom eaten so well. Briefly heated in the oven, the pumpkin cream soup, dumplings and red cabbage pushed into the microwave + dessert. What can I say: it was perfect. Thanks a lot for this.

Unfortunately, due to the current situation, the restaurant is closed. But the beautiful panorama can also be enjoyed on the existing public benches.

A house in a beautiful location with a great view of the Lipperland. We always like to come here again and again, also because you can go for a walk very well.

Wonderful viewpoint. Please make a reservation BEFORE your visit, especially when the weather is nice. It gets full here quickly. COMPLY WITH CORONA RULES. This is important here - and rightly of course - as this is also heavily frequented locally by so-called risk groups. And of course it's a bit more expensive here: Berghof Storck is ... A BERGgasthof, d. H. the logistics are a little more complicated than directly on the B239, which of course is reflected in the price. If you want McDonald's prices (even you can often not call them cheap): there is also one: not on the mountain but (mostly) directly at the train station.

Was a relaxed evening on the Terrace with great views over Detmold to Bielefeld, Essen and Service was great, menu was probably Reduced due to Corona, but against anytime, good luck to him Host and team for the difficult time thank you

Are actually once a year at Berghof Stork. During the cloudy Corona phase for the first time. We were looking forward to the nice meal on the terrace with a great view. We could have been told on the phone when making the reservation that the menu is limited to a maximum of 10 dishes. But well, we chose something. Unfortunately, the food, which cost around 14-15 €, tasted good. But even the women were not satisfied. There was enough chicken in the salad, but the salad portion was enough for a starter. We then had a bite to eat at home.

Very nice and good looking service. The staff goes to great lengths to cater to every special request. We had a lot of trust in general because the staff knew exactly what it was about. (Lactose intolerance / gluten intolerance) The view is a dream, especially at sunset.

After many years of bad experiences - today a new attempt - Sunday afternoon - sunshine. We wanted to stop after a walk - spontaneously without reservation. The view and location is phenomenally beautiful. The greeting was very rude and unwelcoming - we hadn't made reservations. We were still allowed to stay with the feeling of not being welcome. The service was very rushed and unfriendly - you hardly dared to order. The staff tickled in front of the guests - that was not possible. The table was unfortunately not cleaned and with leftovers from the predecessor and glue on glasses. At coffee time there was a kind of cake or vanilla ice cream with strawberries. Unfortunately, no cream. Or another type of ice cream. The ice cream was loveless without a waffle or anything. There were many water crystals in the ice. The strawberries mushy - for 5.50 Eur .... No biscuit with coffee. Next time we go to the ice cream parlor. Unfortunately, the second attempt was not so good that we would like to come back. Too bad that this great place has so little hospitality. The decor is still bland and uncomfortable.

A nice furnished restaurant with a large terrace and a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape can be found when visiting the Berghof Stork. The waiters are very attentive and friendly and also help with explanations when reading the menu. The cook prepares the food tasty and the plate is filled well. The prices are also okay at my discretion. We spent a few lovely hours there, during which we never ran out of drinks thanks to the attentive staff. Even if we needed an additional napkin, someone was immediately on hand. Overall, I am therefore very happy to recommend Berghof Stork.

Great view and delicious food

Super nice service, reasonable prices, delicious food and a great view. Building (restaurant) partly a bit older, but clean. Guest rooms were probably renovated in 2018.

Actually very nice. Great view! It was very crowded when we arrived and the staff a bit overwhelmed. Nevertheless ... delicious cake, good coffee and great fries for the kid!
